I love to write my own music. I can be anywhere and a new melody line can pop into my head. Most of the time my verses will come from things people say. Like most writers, I write best when I'm down. I had written four of the songs on my tape and my friend asked, "can't you write a happy song?". So the next day I wrote "Got my Second Wind" on the plane home. It's my only happy song, heartbreak is my favorite subject.

I write a lot on airplanes and in airports. When I wrote" Break it Slow" , I was sitting at the gate waiting for my plane. It was a little noisy there so I went and sat across the way so that I could concentrate better . Everything was going well, Iwas writing in my song book and singing into my micro-cassette player. Next thing I know I look up and there's my plane pulling away to take off. Instead of three hours it took me eight hours to get home. But the result was my favorite song that I've ever written.
My music was produced by Marty Rifkin (right). He has a great ear and really knows his Country. If you haven't already, be sure to listen to my audio samples. If you like what you hear you can go to my For Sale section to purchase your very own tape!!!!!
